A Tale of Two Siblings

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. (Isn't it always, with siblings?)

It was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness. (We went to story time, and while Nathan sat right next to me, Amelia went and sat on a random woman's lap, played with other children, and tried to take the book out of the librarian's hand.)

It was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity. (I believe quiet time is sacred. Amelia is incredulous, and would prefer to taunt her brother from outside his door.)

It was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair. (Wrestling matches are often very turbulent emotionally.)

We had everything before us, we had nothing before us. (A common thought while shopping with children.)

We were all going direct to heaven... (those faces!)
