New Mexico: The Botanical Gardens

Nathan and I finally recovered on Thursday the week after my mom and sister left, and Alex had Friday off (a coincidence that we suddenly felt better? I think not.) so we decided to head over to the BioPark again! When we went with my mom and Abi we only saw the zoo, which is huge and so fun! So this time we decided to take the train over to the aquarium side of things and see what that had to offer!

I just thought this picture was so funny. Alex and I look so excited, and Nathan and Amelia look like they think we are crazy haha! That's what we get for trying to be fun parents I guess!

The aquarium they have here is really nice, but it's also pretty small! They have some really cool sharks though! So once the train got us there, and we'd walked around the aquarium we decided to head over to the botanical gardens. I wasn't sure what to expect from this, and I really wasn't sure if my family would enjoy it - I love flowers and gardens though! The minute we walked in, a lady directed us toward the children's fantasy garden, and we were so impressed! Nathan loved it! They had these fun little mazes, and giant bugs and vegetables. It really was like you wandered into a fantasy.

We would have stayed there a lot longer, but we had to catch the train back to the zoo so we didn't get stranded at the aquarium. After we got back we walked around to see the big cats, because Nathan is obsessed with tigers! Nathan ended up falling asleep in the stroller, and Mia fell asleep in the carrier, so Alex and I enjoyed a few moments of quiet before we walked back to the car and headed home.
