Tickets to the Happiest Place on Earth vol. 3

I started this series umm.... nearly 3 years ago? I'm actually not sure if I made more than two of them, because I wasn't willing to search through my archives. So we'll start on vol. 3 and go from there! For new people around here (and because it's been so long since I did one) my motto is to make anywhere I am my own personal happiest place on earth. I believe we can have that Disney feeling even in our own homes! This became my goal when we decided to move to Indiana, because I knew it would be challenging for me with missing my family and homeland of Utah. I realized that I can be happy wherever I go, but it's completely up to me! So, without further ado - here are things that are making where I am the happiest place on earth - "tickets" if you will:

1. Making food that my babies love. Nathan has become pretty picky lately, and I don't cater to him, so on the off chance that I make something he's actually interested in, it makes me so happy! I made some banana muffins yesterday, and he LOVED them. It just makes me happy to see him happy I guess. I also love nursing Amelia and knowing that I am keeping her alive and she's getting chubbier every day because of ME! It's just pretty cool.

2. We painted Nathan's room and our hallway while my family was here last week. I am OBSESSED with the color we chose. It's Grey Owl by Benjamin Moore and it is the prettiest greenish/blueish grey I have ever seen. I just want to spend all day in his room haha. I need to take some pictures and then I'll do a little "nursery reveal" post. (Only 2.5 years late!)

this pic is so random but i just loved how nathan curled right up to him to watch a video. he looked so grown  up!

3. Good Music! I'll be honest. I'm the lazy friend who waits for people to tell her what to listen to. Alex is so good at finding new music on Spotify. My sister Abi is really good at finding new music as well. I used to have friends back in the day who would make me mixed CD's and that was the best. This past week we went to Hamilton in Chicago, and it was just so amazing! I just love being filled up with music that tells incredible stories.

4. SUNSHINE! Like I mentioned in my last post, it is slowwwwwwwly warming up here in Indiana, but any time the sun is out I am thrilled!! I never realized Seasonal Affective Disorder was a thing until I moved here and became a stay at home mom. I don't think I have it to a debilitating degree, but as soon as the sunshine hits my face it feels like a whole weight has been lifted off my shoulders! I can't wait until we're in the 60s and 70s and I can just sit at the park and let the sunshine warm me up while Nathan plays.

Anyway, I think it's important to notice the little things in our lives, and how much of a difference it makes for our happiness to be aware and grateful. What are some "tickets" to your happiest place lately?
